dreampuddle respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how “DRINK MORE WATER” (the “App”), including its widgets and controls, handles information.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers or to third parties. The App does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting services, and it has no accounts or sign-in.
The App stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Water you log today (in ounces or milliliters)
- App settings (e.g., daily goal, amount per tap, units, reminder hours and interval, selected sound, mute preferences)
2. How We Use Information
All data is used solely to provide the App’s features:
- Display your progress toward your daily goal
- Schedule optional local reminders within the hours you choose
- Play optional sounds and haptics when you tap the glass
Because we do not collect any data off your device, there is no sharing or selling of your data.
3. Widgets, Controls, and Shortcuts
The App’s Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, its Control Center control, its Shortcuts action, and the “Log a drink” button on reminders let you see your progress or add water without opening the App. To do this, the App and its widget share a storage area on your device (an iOS “App Group”). This data never leaves your device.
4. Apple Health (Optional)
If you turn on “Save to Apple Health” in the App’s settings, the App asks for permission to write Water data to the Health app, and saves each drink you log (its amount and time) there. This includes drinks logged from widgets, controls, Shortcuts, and reminders.
- The App only writes Water data. It never reads any of your health data.
- Health data is stored by Apple in the Health app (and, if you turn on Health in iCloud, synced by Apple to your other devices with encryption). It is never sent to us. We do not use it for advertising or marketing, and we do not sell or share it.
- Resetting today’s intake also removes the drinks the App saved to Health that day.
- You can turn this off at any time in the App’s settings, and change or remove the App’s access in the Health app (tap your profile picture, then Apps). Drinks already saved stay in the Health app until you delete them there.
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App uses local notifications scheduled on your device. You can change notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Notifications.
- No device tokens are created or sent to us.
- No remote (push) notifications are used.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because we do not collect data, there is no personal information for us to delete. If you have concerns, contact us at info@dreampuddle.com.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- All water data and settings are stored only on your device.
- Today’s intake starts over at the beginning of each new day; the App does not keep a history of past days.
- You can reset today’s intake at any time in the App’s settings.
- Deleting the App (on the Home Screen, or in iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > DRINK MORE WATER > Delete App) deletes all of its data, including the data used by its widgets. Note that “Offload App” keeps your data.
- Drinks saved to Apple Health stay in the Health app after you delete the App; you can delete them in the Health app.
8. Security
We rely on iOS and Apple’s security model to protect data stored on your device. We do not transmit your data to our servers.
9. International Users
We do not transfer data internationally because we do not collect or process data on our servers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. We will update the “Effective date” above when changes are made.
